24 Hours of Lemons: Helping Low-Income Families Stay Mobile

September 21st, 2017 by

Who We Are

With over 20,000 participants and 50,000 attendees per season, 24 Hours of Lemons holds the Guinness World Record for Most Participants in a Car Race. Gearheads race sub-$500 cars for up to 24 hours on world-famous racetracks. 25+ events annually in 15 states and 2 countries.

What We Do

Maintain independent, safe, and reliable mobility for low-income families. Provide free auto repairs and maintenance though our nationwide network of Lemons’ participant drivers and mechanics. Host repair days at Lemons events and set up remote work at teams’ own garages.

How We Do It

More than half of all Lemons participants have acquired a strong background in auto repair. These certified and hobbyist mechanics donate their time and equipment based on their love of cars, their desire to give back, and race-related perks and recognition. Consumables and supplies are donated by Lemons Aid Partners.
